Drywall Patching and Repair in Coquitlam & the Tri-Cities

Doorknob holes, dents, cracks, nail pops and water-damaged patches. I patch the wall, sand it smooth, prime it and paint it, so you stop seeing the repair.

What's included

  • Holes from doorknobs, anchors, mounts and removed fixtures
  • Dents, dings and cracks
  • Nail pops and popped screws
  • Patching around old fixtures and removed items (after a TV mount or shelf comes down, for example)
  • Sanding, priming and painting to blend the repair
  • Dust control and cleanup when I'm done

How it works

  1. Send photos. A close-up of the damage and a wide shot of the wall, so I can see the texture and paint.
  2. Get a free quote. I'll tell you what the repair involves and stop by if I need to see it.
  3. Patched, finished, painted. Drywall compound needs time to dry between coats, so bigger patches can take more than one visit.

A few local things worth knowing

Many homes here have textured walls or ceilings, and matching that texture is what makes a patch disappear. If the damage is from water, the leak has to be fixed and the drywall dry before patching. Textured ceilings in homes built before the 1990s can contain asbestos. If that's your situation, get it tested before any sanding or scraping, and message me first so we can talk it through.

Common questions

Can you fix water-damaged drywall?

Once the leak is fixed and the wall is dry and solid, yes. If the drywall is soft, mouldy or still wet, that needs a different fix first. Send photos and I'll tell you what I see.

Will the patch be visible after painting?

The goal is that it isn't. A good patch needs sanding, primer and paint that matches. On older paint, the best result is often repainting the whole wall.

Do you do whole-room drywall or new walls?

No. I do patching and repair. I don't do framing or build new walls.
