How it works
- Send photos. A wide shot of the fence or deck and close-ups of the damage. A rough count of boards or length of fence helps.
- Get a free quote. I'll tell you what the repair involves and stop by if I need to see it.
- Repaired and tidied. I make the repair and clean up.
A few local things worth knowing
Our wet fall and winter, moss and fall windstorms are hard on fences and decks, and wood that stays damp rots from the bottom up. A few bad boards are a quick fix. If posts have rotted or a whole section is leaning, I'll tell you honestly whether it's a repair or a rebuild. Boundary fences are often shared with a neighbour, so it's worth a chat with them first, and in a strata, fences and decks may be common property. Railings are a safety item: if one can't be fixed properly, I'll tell you.
Common questions
Do you build new fences or decks?
No. I do repairs. I don't do framing or build new structures.
Can you fix a gate that drags or won't latch?
Usually. It's often a sagging hinge, a loose post or a worn latch. Send a photo of the gate and the post.
Can you replace a few deck boards?
Yes, if the framing underneath is sound. If it isn't, I'll tell you before I start.
Is the fence my responsibility or my neighbour's?
For a shared boundary fence, talk to your neighbour first. In a strata, check with the strata.
